Pasteur English Immersion Club

Overview

At the Institut Pasteur du Japon (IPJ), we aim to nurture potential future internationally active researchers from Japan. To achieve this, we host the Pasteur English Immersion Club (PEIC), a study group for university students and early-career researchers interested in research. We hold one-hour online sessions every month.

At PEIC, we invite researchers from the Institute of Pasteur, located in 134 sites worldwide, to serve as guest lecturers. Participants read carefully selected English research papers chosen by the lecturers, then summarize their understanding and questions in teams and give presentations. After the presentations, participants receive direct feedback from the lecturer.

Announcements for upcoming events are shared on PEIC’s Slack. If you wish to receive event information, please join the Slack channel. New participants are always welcome. (If you wish to continue receiving event information after graduation, we recommend using a non-university email address, such as Gmail, to log in.)
